Director CLIMAX & ANTI-CLIMAX Tamasha 20-Eleven

We sympathize with the participants of Theater at Tamasha 2011. The Event Head: Mr. Omar Farooq Ramay is going to give you a hard time. (Take our words on that.)

His fascination with food is behind our all levels of comprehension. Wanna be in his good books? (Do we have to ask you why?) Well then, give a last look to your hard-saved money and prepare a food extravaganza to please his taste buds: “Kabuli Pulao with a side order of Lobia, Afghani Chutney, Tikka Kebab & Pickles... to be washed down with Qehwa & Sugar'd Almonds.” Hhm. *rolling eyes*

Anything else? Yeah, horses fascinate him and he daydreams of his own kingdom of horses.

Can it get more dramatic? No.

Good luck.

Journey in Tamasha...

Tamasha has been a journey for everyone who joined the league. For Awais Javed, Director Photography Coverage, its from 'Ground floor to third floor & third floor to ground floor', for TRK, it's the reminder of 'fun' journey our team covered and faced accident on Oct 2, 2010 and Sir. Hassan Kayani, Our Faculty Mentor, relates by saying ' Hota hai shaboo rooz Tamasha-2011 meray aagay!' but for rest of other team members, it's a revolutionary journey which brought changes in their personality.

While I described my journey as : Tamasha-Journey and Samar Waqar, Co-Founder Jaagoo, explained her caravan as : Tamasha beautifully, our other team members came with touching answers too.

Momal Mushtaq, Head E-marketing, started her journey in Tamasha as a participant. She explains as 'When I began working on Tamasha, I’d no particular affiliation with it, if excluded the fact that some of my beautiful memories are associated with “Tamasha 2010”. However, with time, I literally fell in love with the concept behind this event. Due to my million commitments, I couldn’t give “Tamasha 2011” the best of Mo, but yes, whatever I did, I did it with the purity of heart! I love being a part of it all and I hope the event goes well – way beyond the host team’s expectations! :)'

Ghazi Aitazaz, Head Sham-e-Charaghan, shared his experience beautifully in the post : Good things matter!

Ahmed Favad Bhatti, Executive member of Tamasha, shares his journey by telling 'Journey In Tamasha!! Full of FUN, EXCITEMENT, and Little bit of DRAMA. NOW that i look upon the past ,its been a long climb. But all the more worth it!! A legacy worth all the time and effort. After 5 years i believe i would see TAMASHA and proudly say. "Yes this is something me and my friends started". All hail TAMASHA..............I hope and believe that every new batch will bring some new ideas to the TAMASHA legacy and fuel the fire that we have started!!

Taimur Riaz Khan, One of special members of Tamasha, says, ' I
ts was not long ago when i heard the name of an event Named tamasha was goin to take place in our univ .. and i was like
TAMASHA .. seriously !! .. tamasha 2010 team was workin on it and i was busy with my randoms , it got delayed , but
then came the time where i myself had to say people hats of to you and that time was the happening of tamasha 2010 only i knew at that time what i had missed to be a part of , somthin bigger then any individual. perhaps the biggest regrets that i have is that i was not a part of tamasha 2010 , but then as the time progressed i heard that 20Eleven is happening. This was the opertunity i jumped on and perhaps i couldent miss to be a part of it , now i am here and im a proud member of team tamasha... and we are here for a change a change that this country demands from its youth a change that will redefine history...
We are here to Rebrand Pakistan... And we are Team TAMASHA'

Tayyaba Farooq, Executive member of Tamasha, tells, 'In the begining... it was a cause.. an inspiration .. But it has now become a family.. a part of me!'

Sana Shakeel, Head Declamation, explains as '
Admist the crowd of people full of despair and fear i look upon the beam of light coming from the top floor of FAST-NU islamabad. On stepping in the room labeled "Tamasha office" i was perplexed to find people working on a mission, their voices so strong to bring a paradigm shift to the colossal chaos dat surrounds us all, to bring a change under one flag, that defines a united youth working for a common cause.'

Peace Walk, Sham-e-Charaghan, Tamasha'10
Uniting the steps of youth in journey of life...

And last by but no means least, I would like to share a journey of someone, who has been MY inspirational beacon. She has been 'behind' the curtains of Tamasha by being 'my' support.
She, Imama Hameed, describes as 'No matter how much things change, at times we observe them still remain the same. This axiom is specially a bitter fact for Pakistan, as we can see from our history. No matter how far we have been travelling in the past; at the end we find that we have come back to the same point that we had started from, and have to begin all over again.

It was thoughts like this that led me to get indirectly affiliated with Tamasha a year back. Like so many ordinary Pakistanis taking breaths on this motherland, I too was doing the same until I got attached with this event quietly on someone's naïve desire and since then, I am not out of a fervent hypnotism of awakening and understanding without being a functioning component of this event.

I read it somewhere that every human has four endowments- self awareness, conscience, independent will and creative imagination. These give us the ultimate human freedom and power of making choice, responding, and then changing the things in the way we want. Unfortunately, in Pakistan we have rarely seen our people and specially the young generation making any positive use of the gifts given to humanity by Allah, thus the chaos seems fated. Whole the last year and by being almost a thousand miles away, I kept on noticing few of the vigorous beings leaving no stone unturned during this voyage to make the dead minds alive by each and every mean, which undoubtedly and ultimately led them to see a destined triumph. Whilst going through the written initials of Tamasha, I, as a third party never knew that someday Tamasha team would be able to give a massive move to young society of Pakistan. The full-fledge involvement of the students of all the leading institutes of Pakistan was the neatest example to know that ground-breaking change is not too far. With chaos, depression and sense of being lost gripping the youth of our nation, it was heartening to see youngsters coming forward with passion and having enough of courage to not only participate but to keep the zeal alive for the betterment and building of a new Pakistan. Tamasha'09 was finally able to create a ray of hope and it really carried the idea to its destination. To invoke, to change and. . To do. Anyway. But Tamasha was not ended there.

Another year, some new circumstances and some more chaos. The time comes again.

No matter what your style of wanting the change is -- whether it's strong and unwavering or questioning but solid, you will find something in Tamasha to strengthen and uplift you. For all the people who are reading this, I will just ask you to utilize all of your capabilities, recollect your passions and be a part of change. Change, that is inevitable. For you and your own, very one native land.

Keep moving.'

So if you've not yet become part of Tamasha, what are you waiting for?
Will you not wish to join YOUR journey with OUR journey?

I look forward to more journeys in replies :)

Regards,
Hira Zainab.

Shaam-e-Charaghan (Submit Your Ideas)

To kick-start the wheels of change back into gear, one has to have a vision – always. A vision so internally inspiring and stimulating, that it can be manifested into the external world – set free, to take shape, and a life of its own. Like a subtle flower bud, flung out into an open sky, that blooms once and blooms always, in full splendor. Change comes – slowly – yet it comes. Considering this thought and holding a firm believe for an enormous revolution, a Tamasha has been set up to charge the mute assets of a mother who is now 64 years old.

Shaam-e-Charaghan, the 'soul' of Tamasha, is a shot to revolutionize the lives of those who are the definitive and ultimate movers of nation’s jammed systems but regrettably, they are IGNORANT of this truth. It is an effort to make them learn about their duties for their beloved homeland without blaming them directly for not playing their role. It is a promising struggle to put a base upon which our next generation would play its part to make this nation getting better without being oblivious of their due tasks.

Participants light up 'their' diyas reviving the sensation that if everyone of us starts fulfilling responsibilities of THEIR part then together we can lighten up the darkened atmosphere. A peace walk is then arranged to ensure the unity of steps covered.

NEWS:

* Submit your 'written' Ideas about how to 'Re-brand Pakistan' PRACTICALLY on Sham-e-Charaghan booths at Tamasha event till Sunday, 30th Jan, 6.00 pm and be the ambassador of soul of Tamasha.

* Sham-e-Charaghan this time is linked with Edhi Foundation.

For more details, visit our event page: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=118804081525006

We look forward to join hands with you all in Tamasha'11.

Word of the week: Pressure

When the proposal of Tamasha-2011 got approved from our Ex-Director, Dr. Aftab Maroof, Haider Miraj, the President Tamasha, came to me sharing an excellent idea by Haroon, Director Marketing, that we should name the feeling surrounding us during each work. The idea thoroughly mesmerized me as it'll keep a record of phases we went through before and during Tamasha-2011.

A performer at Theatre, Tamasha-2010, is engulfed with pressure yet tends to look high at horizon of hope.

As the new year begins to spread its effect, the feeling of 'main day coming closer' induces a great deal of pressure. So I thought to call it a word of week because it's pressure what engulfs each member of team when there is uncertainty about arrival of teams, approval of sponsors and collaborators, members not working efficiently and things not going the way one thought about them. Not to forget, there's always another surprise, more of a shock :P, waiting during each and every task making us improvise our strategies at every step.

But there's one thing that binds us together, one things that fights with the pressure and that's faith =) Faith in what we are doing is right and will eventually turn up things to be better than before. Faith that our efforts will be awarded by great number of participation because youth DOES respond to call of 'needed' revolution. And we tend to 'Re-brand Pakistan' after 'Revival Of Realization'.

And it is this faith which makes us grow our positive energies, do responsibilities of our part and then leave the things in Bigger Hands. So, we never cease to struggle with increasing pressure. And I won't hesitate to mention that I'm proud of my team for doing that. Here I would specially like to mention our President, Haider Miraj, whose nights and days are spent having a battle with 'pressure'.

So, who among you will respond to our call? The days are approaching nearer. And you shouldn't miss the chance of lightening the darkened atmosphere with us. For details, visit our official website : http://jaagoo.org/ and catch us at Facebook on: 'Tamasha' page.

Seek your own light... The torch is lit!

Passion and Faith has power to make one fight with pressure and one can always FACE it with support at side. A performer at Theatre, Tamasha 2010.

Time is of the calling

A master piece once written is written,a sword once forged is forged. In life every one and any one with a little ambition can make history once, but going one step further,re-writing the pages of time, requires some thing more than desire, will , raw ambition.

Defiance of the laws that bound our reality and tearing the mere fabric of thinking unleashes ones true potential.

Tamasha gives you the opportunity to re-write the annals of times, to re-invigorate the passion with in. So that you could change the state of the nation and rise to what you truly are.

The time is of the calling, the stage is set, you are to reshape your destiny.
